Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas vice-president Nritya Gopal Das was on Friday elected acting president of the trust.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Ashok Singhal told PTI that Das's election was unanimous and hoped he would lend the Ram temple movement a new vigour and enthusiasm.

Das said he has been entrusted with a big responsibility and exuded confidence that he would be able to help fulfil the
dreams of his predecessor, Ramchandradas Paramhans, who passed away on Thursday morning.
