Eight feared killed in blast
in J&K's Budgam district

Eight persons were feared killed in a massive explosion in Magam in central Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday evening.

Police sources told rediff.com that militants had parked an explosion-laden ice cream trolley outside the Border Security Force camp in Magam, which exploded killing eight persons instantaneously.

The sources said that seven security personnel, including two officials of the BSF, injured in the blast were shifted to Srinagar.

Security personnel retaliated to the firing that followed the explosion.

Senior police officials had rushed to the spot.
