Krishna to meet Karunanidhi today

Karanataka Chief minister S M Krishna is flying down to Madras to meet with his TN counterpart, M Karunanidhi, on Friday evening.

This development comes after R R Gopal, editor of Nakkeeran reached the state capital on Friday morning, after meeting with the sandalwood smuggler Veerappan.

It is believed that Gopal has brought along some more demands from Veerappan, for the release of Kannada thespian Dr Rajakumar.

This is Krishna's third visit to Tamil Nadu in the 12 days since the kidnap of Dr Rajakumar.

Nakkeeran Gopal is likely to meet the press after his session with the chief ministers.

Meanwhile, Gopal met Karunanidhi, at the secretariat after his arrival here.

Gopal met the chief minister to explain the status of his negotiations with Veerappan.
