Hold talks, US tells India, Pak againC K Arora in Washington The Bill Clinton administration wants India and Pakistan to enter into a dialogue and work out an arrangement to defuse the Kargil conflict. ''We certainly would want them not to take steps to expand the conflict beyond the current Kargil area. In reply to a question, he confirmed that Secretary of State Madeleine Albright did telephone Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief and Indian External Affairs Minister Jaswant Singh on Saturday.
