Trust vote on March 27-28
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will move a motion, seeking the confidence
of the House in his ministry, on Friday next, March 27. The debate on it will spread over the next day.
Taking a decision to this effect, the Union council of ministers said the first session of the 12th Lok Sabha will be held from March 23 to 28. The ministry met for the first time today.
It had been decided that the newly-elected members will take oath on March 23 and 24. The new Speaker will be elected on March 24. President K R Narayanan will
address both Houses of Parliament on March 25.
A vote on account for the next few months will be taken up the next day.
