Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan is so inspired by director and childhood friend Apoorva Lakhia's latest film, that he has signed on. The yet-untitled film will go on the floors by the end of the year.

Apoorva had begun his directorial career with Abhishek in the film, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, co-starring Lara Dutta [Images]. Unfortunately, it flopped.

Apoorva moved on to direct Amitabh Bachchan [Images] in Ajnabee [Images]. But that film did not click either.

Apoorva finally got lucky with Shootout At Lokhandwala [Images], starring Vivek Oberoi [Images], Sanjay Dutt [Images], Suniel Shetty [Images] and Arbaaz Khan [Images], with Amitabh and Abhishek putting in guest appearances.

At present, Apoorva is busy with Mission Istanbul, starring Vivek and Zayed Khan [Images].

After that, the director will be back with the Bachchans.
